the Future for Daybreak

"The future? I believe that we will be eaten by giant sewer worms like what happened on TV."
-Emily Purcell, Webmaster for Daybreak

This is a collection of interview statements from various staff members. As you can see, some people are negative, some people are positive, and some -- well, Ill let you see for yourself.

"I don't plan for this to ever become big, but I hope that we will get more submissions and crew members in the future. I want the magazine to grow...Just because we started with a literary goal in mind doesn't mean I don't want to expand. I plan to continue on with Daybreak for many years."
-Anne

"I think we'll get bigger and better as time goes by, and the Internet's abilities grow, but it'll have to end sooner or later. Maybe when we're halfway through high school...the IB [high school program] doesn't leave much uploading time."
-Emily Purcell

"I think Daybreak's going to stay pretty much the same in the future. We might get some more people and fancier graphics...although, we're having enough trouble getting the site up as it is. But I don't think we're going to see any real significant change in how it's running."

My personal views are different. I hope that we keep the magazine going for quite a while in some form or another. Perhaps, if Anne does not want to continue with it at some point, somebody else could take over, and the magazine can stay alive. I think that as web technologies grow, so will the magazine. It will probably change in more ways than appearance.
